Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a degradable synthetic polymer material formed by ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone under the catalysis of metal anion complex catalysts. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in various organic solvents; it can be completely degraded into carbon dioxide and water in the natural environment, and the degradation products can be absorbed or excreted by the body, and its good biocompatibility makes it widely used in medicines controlled-release.
