Beginnings 

Diane found her humble beginnings in Northwest Florida. Her vision and leadership in DeFuniak Springs inspired the revival of the Florida Chautauqua Assembly. She has always been fascinated with historic preservation and restoration, which is reflected in the work executed by her non-profit, DeFuniak Landmarks. This organization partnered with the UWF Historic Trust in Pensacola to expand the mission of both organizations across Northwest Florida.

Pickett's writing essence has developed over the years and fermented into a concoction quenching readers' thirst for compelling stories. Pickett constructs characters that are familiar to many long-time Southerners.
